Painting is my way of expressing, learning, finding the answers to my questions, knowing the world and myself, feeling, being free.
Art is for me a more intimate and profound way of living my life.
My name is Stanciu Simona Georgeta.
I was born in a small Romanian town, Brad, on October 17th 1984.
Since I was a child I was very passionate about drawing and painting, reason why my parents had enrolled me to study art at the "Sigismund Toduta" Higher School of Music and Arts in Deva, the closest city to mine.
After graduation I started studying Graphics at the West University of Arts and Design in Timisoara, which I had to abandon the following year for economic reasons.
With the abandonment of the university I had also abandoned the hope that one day art could become my profession.
In 2007 I moved to Italy and started working on a farm in Montalcino.
After years, in 2013 I decided to start painting again.
The path that brought me here is not only an artistic one, but also a personal one of maturation and growth.
Although my life has suffered from uncertainties and changes, my passion for art has remained the same. I have been painting and drawing since I remember. I always did it spontaneously and unconsciously because I loved doing it, but I never considered myself an artist. I considered myself "normal".
It was only later in the time that I became aware and started to appreciate my talent. I understood that life is a gift, that we are all special and there is no normal but everything is a miracle.
I celebrate life through this passion, painting and creating.
I live and work in Montalcino, Italy.
